REPORT ON PARTICIPATION IN “FIT INDIA MOVEMENT”

Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune participated in the “Fit India Movement” by screening the event live. Movement was launched by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of National Sports Day 2019 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi urging the countrymen to promote and adopt healthier and fit lifestyle. The movement was launched on 29th august, 2019 which also marks the 114th birth anniversary of the hockey legend Major Dhyanchand.

Fit India Movement started with the colorful presentation of India’s indigenous martial art forms, dances and sports. Honorable Prime Minister discussed the importance of sports and fitness to keep the masses healthy. Prime Minister also congratulated the winners of National Sports Awards and applauded India’s sporting achievements. ‘Fitness logo’ and ‘Fitness pledge’ was also launched in the movement.

During the live streaming of the Fit India Movement the pledge to walk 10,000 steps was taken by the staff, students, faculty members and officials of the Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur. The programme was conducted in the Moot Court Hall of the institute in the presence of students, all the faculty members and officials of institute.

Honorable Prime Minister concluded the event by thanking all the officials who were involved and supported the mission followed by National Anthem.
