Multidisciplinary Law Review

The Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur Multidisciplinary Law Review is a flagship peer reviewed bi-annual journal of legal scholarship. The aspirational objective of this review is manifold. On the face of it, this review shall typically serve as an academic forum that law students, academic and legal fraternity can take recourse of but in delving deeper, this law review aspires to be a forum that houses an objective analytical survey and scrutiny of the various contemporary legal and political issues that is so central to the becoming of law aspirants. Hence, as editors, it is our hope to build a forum that shows reciprocity where by this forum would be functional in providing effective learning and research tools to fellow aspirants but in turn would also be enriched with the legal opinions and perceptions of as well as highly esteemed legal personnel through their valued submissions.

The Review publishes articles by professors, judges and practitioners. The Editorial Board of the Review has decided to abstain from ascertaining specific themes to each issue in order to allow flexibility of content. A scrutinized editorial process is employed while editing each submission, irrespective of the author. An open column would be provided for our readers to raise contemporary issues that, in their opinion, warrant debate and deliberation.

The Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur Multidisciplinary Law Review wishes to promote and reflect the ideals and pillars of thought that accompanies the Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It is yet another attempt to pay tribute to our motto “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family” as it aspires to bind as many law aspirants and legal minds in our common pursuit to objectively perceive the world in the perfect balance of scales.

The journal would host submissions that are a collaborative result between the field of and the fields of sociology, psychology, economics, history, sports, management etc.

Categories
Long Article: 5000-6000 words
Short Article: 3000-4000 words
Book Review: 1500-2000 words
Short Notes & Case Comments: 1000-1500 words
(Note:Word Limit is including abstract, main article/book review and foot notes)

  • All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words.
  • Submissions on any contemporary legal, social, political, economic, cultural, management and psychological issues etc. will be accepted.
  • The contributions submitted for publication in the journal must neither have been previously published nor currently, be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Co-authorship is allowed up to a maximum of two authors.
  • The cover page must contain only the name of the author(s) and his/her institutional affiliation professional information, contact details, and any other relevant information.
  • All submissions must be sent as a Microsoft Words Document.
  • It is advised to use Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing for the main body of your manuscript.
  • Footnotes must use Times New Roman, font size 10 with line spacing 1.0; alignment justified for the entire piece.
  • A uniform method of citation may be followed. Speaking footnotes are highly discouraged.
  • The body of the email containing the submission must specify the type of manuscript.
  • All the contributions should be the original work of the contributors and should not have been submitted for consideration in any other Journal. The author would be liable for any Legal issue arising out of plagiarism.
  • The copyright of the entry to the journal will rest with the Editorial Board once the entry has been selected and the Author(s) of the same have been notified.
