"The West and the Question of Sovereignty in World Politics"

The Centre for Geopolitics & International Relations, the Centre for Aerospace, Maritime and Defence Laws, along with the Centre for Policy Research and Drafting, hosted an individual participation session on "The West and the Question of Sovereignty in World Politics" on 11th February 2025.

The event witnessed the participation of 29 individuals, engaging in insightful discussions on the evolving concept of sovereignty and its implications in contemporary global politics, particularly in the Western context. Participants explored key themes, including the historical foundation of sovereignty, its impact on international relations, and the challenges posed by global governance frameworks.

Events like these are crucial in fostering academic discourse and critical thinking among students. They provide a platform for participants to delve into significant geopolitical issues, enhance their research and analytical skills, and contribute meaningfully to intellectual debates.

We are grateful to the university, our director sir Prof (Dr) Sukhvinder Singh Dari and Pranjali Ma'am, for giving us such an opportunity.

The result of the event is as follows:

Following the event's conclusion, Vedashree Barokar, the representative of Italy, and Digvijay Kamalkar, the representative of Switzerland, were declared the best speakers by the judge.
