REPORT OF PARTICIPATION IN 17TH ALL INDIA MEET OF DISTRICT LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY OF LEGAL AID CELL

Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur offers several legal workshops and seminars focused on specialized fields of law as well associated areas and related topics. These workshops and seminars bring together students, faculty, and others to learn about emerging erudition from leading thinkers, explore challenges in various fields of law, and engage in vibrant discussion.

Mooting as an activity aims to inculcate and improve the research, presentation and line of reasoning into students so as to equip the budding pleaders with all the court room etiquettes, research experience and advocacy skills. This initiative is well supported by a fully air-conditioned, tech-acoustic, and 220 capacity Moot Court Hall equipped with proper judicial settings. Therein the presentation and reasoning skills of students are screened and notified about the areas of improvements on a regular basis.

To fulfil the Constitutional pledge as laid down in Article 39-A of the Constitution of India, on 12th October 2019, the Legal Aid Cell was established in SLS-Nagpur. This Cell encourages our faculty and students to use their legal knowledge to render free legal services to the marginalized people in nearby villages and to fulfill the Constitutional goals & philosophy.

To provide the research-based education to get the practical understanding on the sub-fields of law, to enhance the knowledge towards particular sub-fields based on the interest of the students and to utilize the leisure time of the students productively, there are active centres functioning under the headship of the faculties of the Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur. In the last Semester, more than 43 variety of academic events such as seminars, conferences, competitions, debates, and workshops were conducted by these Centres for Specialization.

Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur has spacious and well-furnished air-conditioned classrooms with necessary instructional aids such as Over Head Projector, White boards and microphone facility for each class room and LCD Projector for effective communication and interaction with the students, to facilitate class room discussions and project presentations.

Spread over the sprawling 80 acres of beautifully landscaped area, the SLS, Nagpur campus is amongst the most distinguished ones in India. Colossal educational institutions set in lush green environs provide the right ambience and atmosphere for cerebral stimulus. The cutting-edge infrastructure in forms of auditoriums, seminar rooms, class rooms, computer laboratories, library, moot courts and Students’ hostels equipped with modern age amenities, canteens serving nourishing & nutritious food, etc facilitate teaching-learning process that fascinate and delight students, Faculty, Corporate Dignitaries, International Scholars and Parents.
