Dr. Navpreet Kaur is a Chandigarh-based diversity specialist, lawyer, and social activist headquartered in Chandigarh. She started initiatives like "Stop Sale Acid" and The Laxmi Foundation to address acid usage, and she has expertise working with legal authorities. In addition to writing books on acid assaults and research articles, Kaur is a humanitarian writer. She has given speeches at a number of gatherings and organisations. Dr. Kaur is the Co-founder and Vice-President of the Laxmi Foundation, an NGO supporting acid attack survivors and vulnerable communities. She also educates marginalized children and raises awareness about sanitation, health, and hygiene. She has received awards from various organizations and was honored as a Distinguished Alumni in 2024.
