Mr. Himanshu Shekhar Mishra
Himanshu Shekhar Mishra works as Editor (Government Affairs) in New Delhi Television (NDTV India). He was part of Prime Minister's official entourage to the United Nations' Annual Summit in New York (September, 2003) and also to Indo-Turkish Summit in Ankara and Istanbul (2003). He has covered Prime Minister’s official visits to Islamabad, Pakistan (SAARC Summit - January 2004) and Kabul, Afghanistan (Indo-Afghan Summit, August 2005) as a TV news journalist.
He holds an M.Phil. degree from SIS, JNU (1997-99). He did his MA in Political Science from CPS, JNU (1995-97). In last five years, he has presented research papers on climate-related disasters at two ASEAN University Network conferences in Manila (2015) and Kuala Lumpur (2016); BRICS Symposium in Fudan University, Shanghai (2017); international conferences in IIT Powai, IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, JNU and Dhaka University and at World Congress on Disaster Management (2015, 2017 and 2019). He presented a Paper on Disaster Reporting at the ‘Asia Media Conference 2017’ held in Seoul, South Korea.
