Cultural Cell

The Cultural Cell of Symbiosis Law School Nagpur is a dynamic student-driven body that aims to provide a platform for artistic expression, cultural exchange, and creative pursuits. Our mission is to foster an inclusive and harmonious environment that celebrates the rich tapestry of our diverse student community. We strongly believe that cultural activities complement academic learning and contribute to the overall development of an individual.

About the Cell:

In our Cultural Cell, you will find a plethora of opportunities to showcase your talents and explore various forms of art. We organize a wide range of events and activities throughout the year, including music and dance competitions, cultural week, talent exhibitions, food festivals, and much more. These events not only offer a chance to unleash your creativity but also serve as a means to connect with your fellow students and build lasting friendships. These experiences will broaden your horizons, enhance your understanding of the world, and nurture your appreciation for the arts.

Aim of the Cultural Cell:

In addition to organizing events, the Cultural Cell aims at encouraging and supports student-led initiatives. If you are passionate about a particular art form or want to start a club dedicated to a specific cultural activity, we are here to help and guide you. Our aim is to provide you with the necessary resources, mentorship, and infrastructure to nurture your talents and transform your ideas into reality.

Objectives of the Cultural Cell:

The main objectives of the Cell are to curate a series of events and festivities that aim to foster a sense of community, joy, and appreciation.We aim to create an atmosphere where every student feels connected to their roots, celebrates diversity, and experiences the joy of belonging to a larger cultural tapestry. We believe that by engaging in these celebrations, we not only honor our traditions but also strengthen the bonds that tie us together as a community.

Selection Process for the Cultural Cell Members:

The members were selected on the basis of Google forms. PI (Personal Interview) round taken by faculty in charge of the Cultural Cell.

Past Events:

The Cultural Cell on 17.02.23 and 18.02.23, started the legacy of Cultural Fest name SYMPLIFY’23 in collaboration with Calm Hub. The fest witnessed many engaging events such as - Treasure Hunt, Movie Screening, Trade Fair, Talent Hunt and Food Stalls in the time span of two days. The event was a huge success and a really good way for students to enjoy alongwith their academic schedule.

Cultural Cell, Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur made sure that every calendar was marked red for 08th February, 2024 by organizing SYMPHORIA’24. SYMPHORIA’24 was a succeeding event to SYMPLIFY, a cultural fest organized in year 2023. SYMPHORIA not only had to carry forward the legacy of the prior fest but also had to superseed the expectations and hype it had created. The theme for the event was “Early 2000’s Bollywood Era” and students were asked to dress up for the event according to the theme. The entire SLS Institute was decorated with props made by the students of Cultural Cell and led lights with a long red carpet spread across the SLS Ground Floor lobby.

Cultural Cell, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur celebrated the occasion of Basant Panchmi on 14.02.24 The occasion being declared as the ethnic day, students came dressed in their traditional ethnic outfits as regular classes were conducted. Cultural Cell also organized for pooja of Goddess Saraswati in the SLS Ground Floor at 4 PM where faculties following the Indian Culture, worshiped Maa Saraswati and with the Aarti the Pooja was concluded.

Cultural Cell not only organizes In-House events but also proves as a link between Inter-Institute events for students to showcase their talents. In events like SYMBHAV (National Fest,Pune) , SYMNARATE (National Fest, Hyderabad) and MANIFEST (Fest organized by Symbiosis Institute for Business Management, Nagpur) , the cell has made sure about the overwhelming participation of students from Symbiosis Law School.
